LLS One Design Challenge, May 31, 2008 at FBYC

onTo encourage participation and give experience to novice One Design racers, there will be a separate start for those who wish to have their first or early experiences on the starting line and around the buoys. This start will be a combined class start. Entrants to the novice race should print "Novice" in the memo line of their check. The starting signal for combined class novice race will be signal flags "L" and "S" for Leukemia Society.
Skippers are asked to register, paying a Registration Fee of only $10 per boat. In addition, skippers are asked to consider raising funds, in any amount, from their families, friends and crew to help fund research and find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma. Prizes consisting of a set of 4 of the new 16 oz. FBYC Tervis Tumblers will be given to the top fundraiser and a set of 4 of the 12 oz. Tumblers will be given to the runner-up ( a $60 and $48 value, respectively). Novice racers and fundraisers are eligible for these top fundraising awards.
Contributions and entry fees can be paid on site before the skippers meeting, or can be mailed to the Event Chair, Noel Clinard at 6010 York Road, Richmond, VA 23226.
