Stingray Point Regatta Electrical Update
Thursday September 1, 2011 04:20PM
onAs of this moment the electricity is on in Deltaville but still not yet working at FBYC or at Stove Point. The latest report from Va Power is the FBYC service should come back on Saturday afternoon and evening between 5-11PM but we aren't counting on it.
FBYC has rented three generators. The first is a large 80KW generator which is being installed at 3PM today. It will power everything needed on the FBYC Clubhouse side of our property. The second generator is a smaller 6KW generator which will enable us to use the hoist on Jackson Creek for launching J-24's. A third generator powers the water system at the East Bath House. There is no generator plan at this time for Fannie's House, the docks, or the East Bath House hot water heaters.
The combination of these generators will provide power for water, lights, the kitchen at the Main Clubhouse, the music, and the bar for the entire weekend. Our shower facilities will be limited, and we are not sure if we can get water service to the docks.
We have 48 boats registered and are expecting about 175 people for the seated dinner on Saturday Night.
The full agenda from the party Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings through the Labor Day Cookout and Awards Sunday are a GO!!
See you 'all this weekend. Let the party begin!
Good Night Irene!
