In addition to Opti Kids and Junior Week, there are many upcoming Junior Division Events for your sailors to have fun and get on the water at FBYC:

May 31 through June 2:  The University of Virginia Sailing Team will be practicing at our club!  The team has qualified for and is training for the ICSA Dinghy National Championship to be held June 3-6 at St. Mary’s College, Maryland.  We are excited to host the team!  Collegiate sailing is an important next step for many of our junior sailors.  By my count, we currently have seven former junior members competing in the college ranks.  Five of our current junior parents are graduates of the …

Fishing Bay Yacht Club's 2012 Annual Junior Regatta hosts the COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP REGATTA at the end of Junior Week on SATURDAY, JUNE 23, 2012 – SUNDAY, JUNE 24, 2012. There have been some difficulties with on line registration but they have now been resolved. Date of birth is required of registrants and we've had some difficulty collecting this online.  So we've removed it and it'll be collected at check in. Anyone who has had problems registering the past week or two is asked to try registering again and it should go through without any problems.

Housing needed: FBYC to host the VA Commonwealth Championships at our annual jr regatta. June 21-23. Clubs from ga, sc, va, md, and de are planning on attending. Please email Kathryn Angus at kangus@angusco.com if your home or spare bedroom is available for sailors or coaches.

I am completely amazed how rich the "Corinthian spirit" has been at our club and how many members are volunteering for our upcoming two day regatta.  After a year of being bound by a computer our kids finally have the opportunity to be on the water again to represent our amazing sailing program and club.  We are hosting the Virginia State Championship which is also the season opener for CBYRA.  With registration open for about a month we have been successfully amassing an army of volunteers to serve over 100 sailors along with their family and friends.  As far as the eye can see will be an armada of kids geared and ready to give it their all June 26-27th …
