Virgil And Myrtle Miller Elected To Life Membership

At the 2003 Annual Meeting the Fishing Bay Yacht Club Board of Directors elected Virgil and Myrtle Miller to Life Membership in recognition for their years of dedication and service to the club. The following statement accompanied this resoluton:
"It was a fortunate day in 1993 when Virgil Miller agreed to serve as Co-Manager of FBYC. The next year he became Manager and immediately set a higher standard of service as his trademark. He performed his assignments professionally, faithfully and well. Virgil has been a positive influence on the growth and change of FBYC during this time and is well respected among our membership. Our members and guests have appreciated his charm and pleasant can do attitude. His special magnetism and friendship toward the young people of the Club is remarkable.

Virgil has always treated everyone at the Club with kindness and respect, and he and Myrtle have made many friends among the FBYC members. Virgil intends to retire in 2004 and he will be greatly missed. If we are lucky, he will not become a stranger, but will instead continue to participate in future Club events. We wish Virgil and Myrtle fair winds and following seas, and we thank them. "In recognition of service to FBYC for over 10 years, it is so moved that B. Virgil Miller and Myrtle Miller be elected to Life Membership in FBYC."
