The Club will be disposing of the abandoned small racing dinghies currently in the "toaster" racks. These racks are located in the Juniors' Yard along the fence.

The 24th Annual Stingray Point Regatta will be held 8/31-9/2 (Labor Day weekend) and features 3 days of racing on the beautiful southern Chesapeake Bay. Plus dinner and live music Friday and Saturday night! You won't want to miss it!
YAM's first ever Movie Night drew a huge crowd with over 40 members! "The Sandlot" cranked up at 8:45pm and we saw members of all ages joining in the fun...
Wet weather precluded us from being outside on the lawn, but thanks to our perfectly sized front porch we setup under cover and enjoyed zero mosquitos. Attendees brought their own snacks and drinks, and the YAMs surprised everyone with fresh popcorn and a ‘build your own’ candy bar, complemented by a few sodas and waters for all to share. Big thanks to our YAM Committee helping organize and execute this fun new event; and thanks as always to club manager, Brian Ankrom, for helping organize and setup!
The Snipe Hunt Regatta planned for July 28-29 has been cancelled. The Snipe sailors at FBYC had hoped to welcome what would be 3 member-owned Snipes, plus another Richmond-based Snipe with a half dozen from Annapolis for a low-key weekend of racing in the Southern Chesapeake Bay. For a number of reasons - we're not quite ready to host that event and hope we can try again next year.
Be on the lookout for more Snipes sailing in Fishing Bay later this summer and fall.

Nanuq owned by Glenn Doncaster, and representing FBYC, won Class 6 in the St. David’s Lighthouse Division in the 2018 Newport Bermuda Race Besides Glenn, other FBYC members on board were Alex O’Toole, Austin Power, Bob Fleck, and Jerry Latell. Word was they made huge gains in their fleet the last day and a half of the race. Congratulations to Glenn and Nanuq on an outstanding performance.
Congratulations also go Gannon Troutman who was mid bow on Dreamcatcher, who won Class 5. Dreamcatcher, a Swan 48, was entered by the MudRatz Offshore Team, a 501(c)3 organization founded to complement youth sailing programs. At age 15, Gannon was the youngest sailor on Dreamcatcher.
