The 17th Annual Southern Chesapeake Leukemia Cup Regatta held in Deltaville over the weekend of July 10-12 was another huge success with 61 registered yachts and enthusiastic crowds at the Auction and Gala held for the second consecutive year at the Deltaville Maritime Museum & Holly Point Nature Park.

Typically the Southern Chesapeake Leukemia Cup Regatta is one of the most successful Leukemia Cup Regattas in the country in spite of being one of the smallest of such national venues, and this year should prove to be no exception. Having four times been voted the Best Regatta on the Bay by the readers of Chesapeake Bay Magazine, the 2015 Regatta is expected to be a strong contender for this honor …

Departing Jackson Creek at 0900 aboard past Commodore Lud Kimbrough’s Grady White ‘Daddy-O’.  While underway, the group of 11 shared stories, made new friends, and soaked in the gorgeous sunny day while enjoying mimosas courtesy of Jon Deutsch.

I loved OptiKids - age 5

Bev Crump on

Junior Activities

I just wanted to tell everyone what a great time I had at Opti-Kids at Fishing Bay the past two weekends. We learned a whole lot about sailing and boats and had great fun playing in the water. We learned that it’s not scary when a boat turns over and it’s really fun to sail. I made many great friends. We had lots of help from our mommies and daddies and Paul and Julie and Claire. They really helped us a lot. The snacks and watermelon were great. I also loved swimming in the pool after sailing. I hope that I can go sailing more in the future.

When you look at the https://new.fbyc.net/news/ News page, you will see a long list of "Tags" on the left sidebar.  New Posts can be tagged so that old posts can be found more easily.  We have recently fixed an issue with Tags - now all Tags are converted to "lower case" and they all work again.  Generally if you make a new post, try to use an existing tag that makes sense, but it is OK to create new tags as needed.  Any multiple word tag should be either typed as one word or connected by a "-" or a "_" to make it work as a single tag.  Enjoy.  Strother.
